Daniel K. Flatley, General Partner
Daniel K. Flatley has over 30 years of experience investing in early-stage information technology, media and telecommunications companies. Prior to joining Masthead, Mr. Flatley was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette where he was global head of a group investing in and financing satellite and telecommunications companies. Previously, he was a principal in a mid-market buyout and M&A advisory firm. He also practiced corporate/securities law and clerked with a Chief United States District Judge.
Mr. Flatley's corporate board and advisor service has included Masthead portfolio companies AEP Networks (acquired by Ultra Electronics), Genesis Networks (acquired by Global Crossing), Newsgator, Scanbuy, Tacoda Systems (acquired by AOL), and TripConnect, as well as Phillips Plywood, Nuron (acquired by Intel) and Mail.com.
Mr. Flatley serves as Chairman of Research Down Syndrome, on the Board of CatholicVote.org, and on the Advisory Council for the University of Notre Dame's College of Arts and Letters. He holds an AB from the University of Notre Dame, a JD from Georgetown University School of Law and a MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
